Educational portal holocaust.cz
Holocaust.cz started in September 2001 and since then became one of the largest sources for Holocaust research in Czech.
The portal focuses on the area of the Czech lands and gives detailed information in a European context.
It consists of
- historical summaries of the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question” in both the Czech lands and Europe
- source materials – reports from contemporary witnesses, documents, scientific texts, images and documentary material related to the history of Nazi persecution of Jews and Roma in the Czech Lands, Germany and other European Countries
- methodical guidelines for the utilisation of the documents mentioned above in classwork and in Holocaust education
- online version of the Database of the Victims of the “Final Solution to the Jewish Question” and documents related to them

This year's 19th annual public reading of the names of Holocaust victims, "Yom HaShoah", will take place on 6 May 2024. The names of victims of Nazi persecution will be read in 31 cities across the Czech Republic, commemorating the fate of those who were murdered during the Second World War.
About a month ago, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of the Terezín Initiative Institute at the invitation of Austrian Ambassador Bettina Kirnbauer. The latest Anne Frank Youth Network action project is complete!
In September 1943, five thousand Jews from the so-called Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia were transported from the Terezín concentration camp to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp in two transports for reasons that have not yet been made clear.
